Bochumer Verein Verkehrstechnik GmbH

Bochumer Verein Verkehrstechnik GmbH (abbreviated 'Bochumer Verein' or BVV) is a modern, medium-size, legally independent enterprise with a workforce of around 580 employees operating autonomously in the market. We are located in the centre of Bochum, a city with which we have shared not only our name for almost 160 years (see our history on the following pages).

Surrounded by a future-oriented industrial and academic landscape, Bochumer Verein has been an innovator in the field of steel processing since 1842. The company operated formerly under the names of Schmiedewerke Krupp-Klöckner GmbH, Vereinigte Schmiedewerke GmbH and VSG Verkehrstechnik GmbH, and since 1998 has reverted to its original name.
