Repairs, maintenance, service
The recipients of our services include outside customers or individual manufacturing units of Bochumer Verein Verkehrstechnik GmbH (BVV). Covering an area of approx. 5,700 m², this business is equipped with machining possibilities such as CNC turning and milling facilities, boring and grinding machines, digital measuring and tracing units, and submerged-arc welding and oxyacetylene spraying equipment.
Crane capacities ranging from 5 t to 60 t are available, including spreader bars for loads up 92 t. In addition to the machining facilities in the workshops, there is a flexible, qualified service team comprising fitters, hydraulic technicians, universal and TÜV-approved welders, inspectors and testers on hand at all times, ready to meet also customers' needs "on site".
Our range of services includes:
- Repair of wheelsets and their components as part of general overhauls and other inspections
- Coating of components
- Hardfacing
- Welding low-floor axles
- Maintenance and fabrication of shop tools and implements and of spare parts (e.g. rolling and pressing tools)
- Maintenance work on plant and equipment in iron and steel mills, the facilities of BVV and other companies of the GMH group
- Environmental, energy and investment management
- Training of crane and forklift operators
