Quality management
The use of our products worldwide calls for cooperation with a wide variety of international qualification and certification bodies in order to qualify our products. Bochumer Verein Verkehrstechnik GmbH has been confirmed by Bureau Veritas Rail GmbH as having an "Integrated Management System" (IMS) in compliance with the DIN EN ISO 14001:2005 and DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 standards and as having developed and optimised this system further through repeated successful recertifications.
DB AG has certified and re-affirmed our company as a Q1 vendor for many years. We are also approved by many European and international railway enterprises such as SBB, ÖBB, NL, NF, SNCB, AAR, etc. We additionally have product qualifications for molybdenum coating, bond shrinking, transverse and longitudinal shrinking-on, and the welding of rail vehicle components to the DIN 6700-2 standard, for example.
Germany's Federal Railway Authority (EBA) has approved us as having the expertise to carry out the inspection, repair and maintenance of wheelsets and wheelset bearings. We also have approvals from GL, DB AG, TÜV, LroS, etc. for the manufacture of seamless rolled rings/wheel tyres.
Our position as an "A" rated or preferential vendor spurs us on, time and again, to continually optimise our QM system and the skills of our personnel. The ongoing limitation of our quality- and production-related costs enables us to offer customers competitive prices and to realise a profit, so that Bochumer Verein Verkehrstechnik GmbH remains a reliable partner over the long term. We look to influence our suppliers at all times in like manner.
