Wheelset with independent wheels

Since the introduction of low-floor vehicles, it has been possible over the past 20 years to improve passenger comfort in local transit services significantly. We have met the challenge of realising bogies suited to the restricted spatial conditions by introducing low-floor technology. This has enabled us as leading suppliers of wheelsets for local transit services to apply our expertise also to the development and manufacture of wheelsets fitted with independent wheels and axle arches, with wheels for independent wheel suspension, and with integrated drive motors, etc. Depending on the application, we produce axle arches in forged, cast or welded design, as composite constructions with pressed-in journals, and so on.
