Product development/design

We offer new developments geared to the needs of our customers and, additionally, the adaptation of existing solutions to meet changed requirements. This includes design and dimensioning work, as well as the selection of materials, clarification of interfaces, fabrication, maintenance instructions, and qualification for certification bodies. Our know-how from our entire range of production - from forging, to heat treatment, through to finishing - goes into all our products.

Examples of such developments include stress-balanced and vibration-optimised monobloc wheels, BO2 000-type resilient wheels with high axial rigidity, based on the BO84 principle, BO 01 and LoRa type resilient wheels with high radial spring deflection, low-floor wheelsets with axle arches and loose wheel bearings, impact-protective and molybdenum coatings of the wheelset axles, and the use of vibration absorbers for noise attenuation.
